"A thoroughly excellent experience; the service was in German, friendly and competent. Even though the waiters were somewhat understaffed, they made up for it in effort and skill. The food was delicious and arrived promptly, We had fettucine al salmone and spaghetti with king prawns: I recommend both. Then we had tuna with fennel as main course (not on the menu); pretty strong on the fennel and thinner cuts than expected, but of great quality. And the location right at the seaside with Miramare and Triest in the back: priceless. The overall cost was absolutely reasonable and well worth the experience. If there was anything to improve it's the chairs; cheap plastic and not too comfortable. Generally highly recommended."

"Amaizing by the sea restaurant with delicious seafood! Also some meat options. The only downside is that there is no parking space, need to park on the main street and walk down towards the seaside. Overall really good food, service etc"

"Nice place with amazing sea view. We come there to swim - nice little beach, so we took just some drinks and icecream as they are having “side” bar and seating for people who do not want to eat."

"Going to this trattoria is a bit difficult. As the road is sloping down and very tight. Parking is available along the narrow road, but you need to walk down the stairs to reach. Nice open concept with the view of the Gulf of Trieste. There is a small open beach for the public upon going down the stairs. Staff are friendly and accomodating as we were with 2 toddlers. They offered us half servings only for the kids' pasta and gnocchi. Fresh seafood. We love the marinated anchovies! We paid around 90€ for 2 antipasti, 2 half portions for kids, 2 main dish, a big bottle of water, a can of coke, a juice, small pitcher of white wine (malvasia) and 2 desserts. Fair and reasonable bill. The difficult part now is to go up and climb the stairs, going back to the car. With our heavy full tummies, kids along and with the heat it was a struggle. Overall it was a good experience."

"Best Tiramisu of my 36 years. seafood cooked perfectly, tasty with seasoning just right - not overwhelming. Fried calamari was crunchy and fresh and tasty, and there is sparkling wine on tap! We came during a storm, and it was the best culinary experience I've had in my 10 day trip to Friuli Venezia Giulia. the atmosphere is vibrant, people are kind and quick. To sum up, Trattoria Bellariva deserves to be a recommendation for 'what to do in Trieste' on it's own merits."
